confirmation by co-arriving family.

student or student family unit having their own room
with a private bathroom protocols for appropriate

other health conditions.

Information about accommodation can be added to
quarantine plan form and customized to meet
institution need.

Through the iAdmin portal, institutions can
monitor the responses of students and develop an
action plan to respond

iCent partner hotels are equipped with services to
support students with disabilities or health
conditions.

The details of logistics for supporting students
and their family members with essential needs
throughout the full duration of the quarantine
period, that at a minimum must include: Food and
water, Medical care, including testing, Mental
health supports, Social supports. Phone or internet
services, Environmental cleaning protocols

Students who stay at one of the iCent partnered
hotels will have the option to opt for a meal plan
service. Otherwise, links to food delivery apps will
be listed in the app

Contact information for contactless food delivery
services will be provided to students who will be
staying at their prearranged private quarantine
location

iCent will provide links to resources and
protocols for ensuring that students and their
immediate co-arriving family members have access to
culturally appropriate: Primary care health
services, mental health services and supports,
social services and community organizations as
relevant to each student’s needs

Students will be provided with a free SIM card
upon arrival at the airport by iCent partners:
Chatr.

Protocols for encouraging students and their
family members to self-monitor and use the ArriveCAN
app for their daily symptom reporting

Protocols for the DLI or a designate of the DLI to
provide daily monitoring of the students and their
immediate family for the duration of their
quarantine, through phone calls, texts, or emails by
DLI representative or their designate for:
Development of new symptoms, Compliance with the
quarantine, Ensuring their essential needs are met

iCent will be sending students daily push
notifications to fill out the ArriveCAN app each day
during their 14 days.

Then, iCent will collect confirmation that
students have filled out the ArriveCAN app through
the daily check-in form
-
iCent representatives will call and send emails to
students to ensure their safety and needs are met.
Additionally, the representatives will ask for
confirmation regarding students filling out the
ArriveCAN app

Institutions will be informed instantly regarding
students who are experiencing symptoms or are
irregular in completing the daily check-in form via
the app.

Protocols and mechanisms for students and their
family
members to notify the DLI representative or their
host
designate if they develop symptoms and require
medical care,
including COVID-19 testing.

Protocols for implementing COVID-19 testing,
arranged for by the DLI, of all students who have
entered Canada prior to the start of their studies
on day 14 of their quarantine, as well as at any
point during quarantine for symptomatic individuals

Where testing will not take place in the same site
as the quarantine, plans must provide full details
of transportation to and from the testing site
provided by the DLI that include provision of
non-medical masks, any other personal protective
equipment, social distancing, and protocols for
limiting any unnecessary contact with any other
person while outside of quarantine for testing
purposes

Students can connect with iCent via phone, email or
24/7 chat should they have any questions, or start
developing symptoms.

Direction/triage can be given to student based on
pre-set institutional protocols and Government of
Canada recommendations

Local testing centre information and private
transportation options provided directly in app.

iCent will send push notifications on the 14th day
post-arrival to remind them to adhere to
institutional requirements for testing.

Communication plans that provide COVID-19
resources and information to students and their
families that are accessible (e.g. plain language,
pictures, symbols, available as needed in languages
other than English and French as appropriate by
students)

Students can access all the relevant information
in the iCent app in multiple languages.
